The last trading session in January on the U.S. stock market was marked by upward movement of major stock indices within 1.6 percentage points. Based on not bad corporate reports, as well as on the outlook of the largest investment houses on the moderate impact of inflationary pressure on the economy and, as a consequence, possibly more loyal rhetoric from the FOMC, participants continued to make careful purchases in the stock market. Buying was especially noticeable in the Consumer and Commodities sectors.
