The Energy and Communications sectors proved to be the main driving force in Thursday's trading. Optimism in these sectors outweighed negative reports from the Technology sector, which allowed the major U.S. stock indices to post a positive close within 0.6 percentage points at the end of the trading. Selling was quite tangible, although the market looked quite sluggish. Participants will continue to watch corporate reporting, which will be the main driving force.
