Market overview 2023-12-14

Once again we see growth on the U.S. stock market. The upward movement turned out to be more modest, within 0.4 percentage points on the main stock indices, but still against the background of prolonged growth this movement looked quite significant. It is noticeable that market participants are ready for profit taking and are waiting only for a signal, which is not coming. Yesterday macroeconomic data did not look optimistic, but not so much to provoke the fall. In any case, the business activity of this year is fading and from the next trading week many large investment houses will start to curtail their active operations until the end of the year.
