Due to the Columbus Day celebration in the USA, the bond sector was closed, that also influenced the stock sector by reducing the activity of traders. This activity decrease resulted in a further, albeit quieter, decline in the main stock indices within 1 percent. The Consumer and Industrial sectors supported the market, while the Energy and Information Technology sectors were clear outsiders of the trades.
