Having opened with decline at the Friday's trading, the main U.S. stock indices unsuccessfully tried to win back the morning fall, but the last hours of trading brought these efforts to naught, having returned the main stock indices to the opening levels. The result was a decline of the market within 0.5 percentage points on fairly average trading volumes. Market participants are preparing for the corporate reporting season, which starts on July 10, and will be trying to find new drivers for further purchases.
