Market overview 2023-07-27

Having opened with a strong growth on strong confident macroeconomic statistics the U.S. stock market lost all optimism by the end of the trading session and went into negative by about 0.5 percentage points. Good data on GDP and real estate gave participants reason to doubt the end of the Fed's discount rate hike cycle and as a consequence provoked them to take profits on their long positions. As for the sectors, the Communication sector looked good due to its leader - META Company. The Real estate sector was a clear outsider of Thursday's trading session.
