Market overview 2023-04-26

Having opened in the positive zone, the US stock market by the end of the Wednesday trading session  went into the negative zone within 0,5 percent by Dow Jones and S&P 500 indices, and only thanks to the good reporting of Microsoft, which supported the whole Technological sector, Nasdaq index held in the positive zone. The participants continued to build up the fears concerning the US sovereign debt ceiling and were confused by the macroeconomic reports, in particular the durable goods orders volume, which showed an unexpected growth, and as a result strengthened the participants' expectations of the possible next increase of the discount rate.
