A short week on the U.S. stock market puts pressure on the activity of market participants. Thus, Tuesday was held on rather moderate trading volumes and tended to profit taking, which led to a decline in the main stock indices within half a percent. Participants were expecting the release of "minutes" from the last Fed meeting, which, however, did not bring anything new - the Fed still takes a wait-and-see attitude and sees no preconditions for a rate cut.
