Market overview 2022-09-21

After the expected increase in the discount rate by the U.S. Federal Reserve  the major U.S. stock indices rushed down showing a decline of 1.8 percentage points. The negative movement was spurred by comments of the Fed members and the largest financial houses on the possible further increase of the discount rate at the same rate until the end of the current year.  The decline was uniform across all sectors and did not reveal any clear outsiders or favorites of the trades.
