Another quiet day in the U.S. stock market led to multidirectional closing of major stock indices. The broad market index S&P 500 and the Dow Jones index of major companies managed to close with growth of 0.7%, while the high-tech Nasdaq fell by 0.2%. Trading was on average volume. The Consumer and Industrial sectors were the leaders, while the Energy and Real Estate sectors showed some declines.
