Zymergen Inc. launches an IPO

IPO of Zymergen Inc. (ZY) will take place on April 21, 2021. Zymergen - is a developer of bio-based products for multi-purpose application. The company calls its operations biofacturing and is expected to create better quality products faster, cheaper and more sustainable than traditional chemicals. Biofacturing is a design, development and commercialization of revolutionary bio-based products on an industrial scale. The Zymergen biofactoring platform is a unique, complex combination of biology, chemistry and technology that unites molecular biology, chemistry, materials science, laboratory automation systems, software applications, unique databases and machine learning algorithms.

The estimated valuation of the company after its IPO will be $2.3 billion.

The listed bookrunners of the IPO are JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, BofA Securities, Cowen, UBS Investment Bank and Lazard.
