IPO of Affirm Holdings, Inc. (AFRM) will take place on January 12, 2021. Affirm is a next generation platform for digital and mobile trading. The platform solves the problem of outdated payment options, archaic systems and traditional risk and credit underwriting models. The Affirm platform includes three main elements:
• A point-of-sale solution for consumers that allows them to pay for purchases in fixed amounts without deferred interest, hidden fees or penalties.
• Commercial trade solutions that enable sellers to promote and sell their products more effectively, optimize their customer acquisition strategies and drive sales growth
• A consumer-facing app that can be used to manage payments, open a high-yield savings account and access to a personalized trading platform.
Affirm Holdings, Inc. is run by Max Levchin, who was one of the founders of PayPal (PYPL) together with Peter Thiel and Elon Mask. Levchin was also a cofounder of Yelp.
Listed underwriters of the IPO are Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Allen & Co., RBC Capital Markets, Credit Suisse and Barclays.
